ABOUT ME

I was born and raised in the beautiful mountain town of Canmore, Alberta — I know, I really did win the life lottery. The mountains keep me grounded and constantly remind me that life is full of wonder.

I’ve always been drawn to storytelling, poetry, and those bits of language that touch the heart and linger. Alongside my work as a celebrant, I also teach yoga and facilitate seasonal ceremonies, creating spaces for reflection, connection, and community.

When I’m not writing or officiating ceremonies, you’ll usually find me somewhere outdoors — exploring the mountains, chasing water (lakes, rivers, oceans… I love them all), or back home tending to my jungle of 40+ plants.

And if I’m not doing any of that, I’m probably curled up with a good book or diving into another course — I’m endlessly curious and always learning.

At the heart of everything I do is a deep love for meaningful moments — and a belief that our stories are how we understand each other, how we connect, and how we leave something lasting behind.

MY STORY

My journey into officiating began with my own wedding. Standing there with my husband, in my parents’ garden, surrounded by family and friends, I felt time slow down. For a few precious minutes, everything else faded, and it was just us — completely present.

That moment opened my eyes to how powerful a ceremony can be. It isn’t about perfect words or polished details; it’s about presence, connection, and the sacred simplicity of standing beside someone you love and saying yes.

Years of teaching yoga and holding space for others to find stillness and meaning had already shown me how transformative intentional moments can be. Officiating weddings became another expression of that same calling: to help people pause, breathe, and fully inhabit one of life’s most beautiful moments.

Since then, I’ve had the honour of officiating hundreds of wedding ceremonies across Alberta. Each one reminds me why I do this work: because love, when witnessed with intention, has the power to change the world.
